Spherotech stands out thanks to its more than thirty years of experience - the company was founded in 1982 in Fulda. A new building in the Dieselstraße in the year 1992 provided the company with extensive space. In 2007, there was already yet another building of the stores that had been planned. Quality Department was expanded, an eddy current tester was procured. A year later, more equipment was bought: a Wolpert hardness tester, a length measuring and grading machine as well as the video-microscope 10/40.
Corrosion tests in a monitored-climate incubator were introduced in 2009. In 2010, Spherotech launched an especially efficient Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Since 2011, there has been a portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer in use for material inspection and analysis, and in addition, the company procured a second eddy current tester and refurbished the Shore hardness tester for plastic and rubber balls. Additional roller graders were bought in 2012. Since then, we are able to sort from 1 mm to 25.4 mm. Furthermore, we commissioned a roundness tester and a surface testing instrument of the latest generation. Today, the operations cover a total area of 1,300 square meters, of which 1000 square metres are available for a huge storage capacity.
